At Bambu Indah Resort in Bali’s Ubud, the New Moon House settles into rice paddies that overlook the Ayung River. The design process took shape through close collaboration between IBUKU's team and local craftsmen, elements shaped and refined with precision on site.

The structure reinterprets the original Moon House with greater intimacy. Its signature circular window frames views of the flowing river beyond, while bamboo walls swirl and cocoon the bedroom without severing connection to nature. A copper and brass roof introduces a refined material contrast, developing natural patina over time.

All around, jungle greens spill toward a private pool and open-air living space, offering secluded spaces for guests to immerse themselves fully in the landscape. Privacy and openness exist here in perfect balance.
