The bar is a single bamboo structure building that sits on a sandy beach with a clump support system.
An elegant structural umbrella pole system was developed to maximize floor area with a long overhang roof. Strong coastal winds are a major challenge for this area and this structure shows that buildings with thatch roof cover can be created in the Maldives beach area. It was completed at the end of 2017 and is the 3rd overseas building construction project by IBUKU.
