The story behind our project names — Why did we name it Cacao House?

The houses are always designed with a strong focus on space and being light on the land, so the names we give them flow from there.

One of our latest houses, we named Cacao House, because we built it in a wild cacao grove. We’ve incorporated them into the permaculture gardens surrounding the house; the trees are fruiting right now, next to the rosella bushes and the baby lettuce.
